Night in the Old Village

Traditions and events · Montenero di Bisaccia

The Night in the Old Village is one of the most popular events of the Montenero di Bisaccia summer tradition, which takes place on August 6th and 7th, each year until night. Two days of festivities where visitors, immersed in the alleys of the ancient village, have the opportunity to discover craft shops and gastronome stands. In addition, there are songs, dances and performances of all kinds.

The Night of the Old Village, an event organized by the Pro Loco Frentana and sponsored by the Municipality of Montenero di Bisaccia, is the occasion to revive local history Montenero’s atmosphere. The initiative starts at 7 pm on August 6th and ends on the night of August 7th: two days of popular singing and dancing, recitation moments, local historical notes, all kinds of shows, music and good food. Everything is in the characteristic scenery of the village’s alleys, where visitors can discover local products thanks to the presence of numerous craft shops and gastronomic stands.

The event is in the heart of the historic area of Montenero di Bisaccia, in a path full of tradition that, year after year, allows to know the culture of Montenero to an increasing number of tourists.
