Memories

The demoetnoanthropological heritage of Molise coast includes disused and not traditional activities and customs – such as traditional clothes; the “striking” cultural expressions (celebrations, ceremonies, festivities etc.); the most distinctive traditional activities (forms of poetry, singing and folk dance), including those that have long been no longer active or significantly altered from the past; but also common activities, gesture, shared expressions and eating habits. Numerous are the festive and ceremonial occurrences, but also the common devotional activities, the material culture, the system of typical products, and so on. Three major areas of this intangible and material heritage can be identified:
1. the festive and ceremonial systems of communities;
2. common activities;
3. material culture products.
